Jazel Muñoz • Community Arts & Mixed Media Instructor • Country Club Studio
Jazel Muñoz is a Chicanx printmaker, zinester, activist, and curator. They are guided by the values of mutual aid and DIY culture, positioning themselves at the forefront of community-centered spaces. Jazel holds a B.A. in Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a concentration in Printmaking. With over a decade in printmaking experience, they are skilled in relief, serigraph, intaglio, lithography, book-binding arts, and mixed media.

Taylore Amato • Digital Instructor • Country Club Studio
Taylore graduated from California State University Sacramento in 2023 with a Bachelors of Arts with an emphasis in Ceramics and Printmaking. They have been navigating their art practice professionally since 2018, although they have spent the greater part of their life lost in art supplies. Taylore finds inspiration in playfulness, as well as using their art to speak up about things that are important to them.

Mattie has been drawing for as long as she can remember. She is self-taught and specializes in digital art with a main focus in nature and color studies. She enjoys writing (having a Bachelor's degree in English) and has an unwavering passion for animals as well as mental health. Mattie hopes to one day publish children’s books in order to help others understand mental health in a new light and to overcome their fears of misunderstood animals.

Octavia is a self taught artist who specializes in drawing and painting. She has always had a passion for art and has been actively working towards a career in the arts since 2014. Octavia worked for many years as a freelance artist specializing in character and logo design and has a passion for portrait painting. Octavia is a drawing and painting instructor here at Southside Unlimited and aspires to create her own original graphic comics and animations one day, in hopes to inspire others to do the same.

Amy is an artist, photographer and creative community builder based in Sacramento with over two decades of experience. Inspired by people, vibrant colors, and the magic of the ocean, she believes art is a powerful tool for exploration, healing, connection, and self-expression. She believes all people are creators and is deeply passionate about building inclusive, welcoming spaces and communities where creativity is for everyone. Amy holds a BA in Photography with a minor in Studio Arts from Sacramento State University.

Katie is a passionate artist with a degree in both digital and traditional art. Her work as a freelance concept artist and illustrator has led to several published works- including several magazine covers and a video game. Katie's passion for the arts is evident in her own work as an artist and as a drawing and painting instructor with Southside Unlimited.

Alex graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. They have a love of ceramic sculpture and electronic art; combining both to bring out the best of each medium. Their inspiration comes from the vast, alien-like shapes of aquatic creatures, the exaggerated distortions of the human body, and the magic of bioluminescence.

Lorna graduated from Cosumnes River College with a degree in art design. She is a multi-media artist who creates mostly science fiction and fantasy work. Lorna displays her art at galleries throughout the Elk Grove and Sacramento area and is passionate about sharing her skills through teaching.

Haily Gwynn Shaw • Ceramics Instructor - College Greens Studio
Haily is an avid ceramicist, painter, dancer, and adventurer. Art and teaching are lifelong passions for her and she graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and a minor in studio art. Haily has been teaching classes from ceramics and painting to dance and art therapy since 2012. She believes that creating art is for everyone to enjoy and the greatest adventure of them all.

Tony Mills - Resource Assistant - College Greens Studio
Exploring the relationship between color, shape, and organic movement, using mostly water based mediums, Tony constructs rhythmic compositions that feel fluid yet deliberate, each piece orbiting around its own visual gravity. The paintings pulse with color and repetition, suggesting a sense of motion that is both physical and emotional. Mills continues his pursuit of balance and play, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the vibrant, ever-shifting language of form. Tony attended San Francisco State University, studying art and art history, and completing a degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration, with an emphasis in creative recreation.

Aramonti is a multidisciplinary artist and Gallery Manager at Auburn Work of Art Studio, guiding a team of talented artists and fostering a creative community. Trained in animation at Academy of Art University, they work across 2D and 3D, digitally and by hand, bringing characters, worlds, and stories to life. Inspired by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Ready Player One, Aramonti blends play, imagination, and immersive storytelling in every project, from short films to video games.

After receiving a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from Humboldt State University, Bee was quickly drawn back to her childhood love of art and creativity. With a deep love for the arts that spans generationally, Bee is now a jack of all trades that has taught over 15 different mediums inclusive of both 2d and 3d art to students of all ages. Painting, leather working, batik, ceramics, and jewelry making are just a handful of her many developed skills. Her art is dynamic, culturally diverse, and enriched with symbolism. With over a decade of experience advancing non-profits and a knack for connecting people with their true passions, Bee now leads a talented team of Managers and Instructors at Work of Art.

Laura Freeman-Knuth - Painting Instructor - Auburn Art Studio
Laura Is a painter, illustrator, animator, and former scenic artist for movies and television, as well as The San Francisco Opera and Ballet. She studied Character Animation at California Institute of the Arts,in Valencia, Ca, and upon leaving discovered her interests lie elsewhere, and started working in live action film. In high school her goals were to either work in film, or work with people with developmental disabilities, and in its usual mysterious way, life has led her back to one of her original callings, combining it beautifully with her passion for art.

Katherine is a ceramic artist inspired by the art of historically women centered crafts and spaces. Using themes from interior decoration and American folk Art her art is able to express day to day life of traditions. Her use of bright colors brings a modern touch to the history she aims to highlight. Katherine holds her BFA from Cal Poly Humboldt with a minor in Art Education.

Breanna is a self-taught artist specializing in digital media. In addition to her digital work, she utilizes paints and markers to execute her projects, drawing inspiration from both nature and pop culture.

Kota Medina • Music and Podcast Instructor • Clara Music Studio
Kota has been playing musical instruments since 2001. Guitar and piano were his first instruments, then he learned drums, violin, cello, mandolin, banjo, trumpet and upright bass among others. He is also a vocalist, and loves singing in different styles from Rock to R&B. Kota loves teaching, and he believes that it is extremely important to respect the individuality of artistic expression, and to approach every musician and artist uniquely. He has taught at Southside Unlimited since 2021 and has taught at Hollywood Park Elementary School, CLARA arts education summer camp and in the Sacramento YPCA Community center program. He typically freelances; composing and recording soundtracks for video games and animation projects, as well as releasing personal albums and covers for fun. Recording and production are his specialty.
