We teach you the whole printmaking process from design to final print. This workshop is suited to all skill levels to allow for creative thinkers and amateur artists to explore basic techniques of printmaking with foam plates. The creative theme for this workshop is poppies.
Did you know that Adobe Photoshop is not just for editing photos? Learn to paint in Photoshop in this beginner friendly class. With a reference photo as our guide, we will learn how to use layers, blending modes, and different types of textured brushes to achieve a painterly effect. This workshop will lead you step-by-step to create a digital painting of a cityscape. You will leave with a high-quality print of your digital painting and you can email the file to yourself for future printing.
Come learn how to harness the colors of nature! Prior to the invention of synthetic dyes 170 years ago all fabric was dyed using plants, animals, and minerals. Join us in this fun workshop to learn this ancient technique with modern updates. In this two hour workshop you will learn how to dye fabric using plants like eucalyptus and loquat and everyday foodstuffs like avocado pits and pomegranate peels. Students will also learn techniques to create different dyed patterns. Once you’ve learned the basics in our workshop you’ll begin to see the color possibilities of plants everywhere!
Workshop participants will go home with a set of four beautiful dyed linen napkins.
Come learn the hottest new art technique and shock your friends when you come home with two stunning abstract paintings. Pour painting is a fun and rewarding technique that results in somewhat unpredictable and totally unique paintings. No experience necessary, participants will be given basic instruction on color harmony and design before diving in and creating their own unique, poured masterpieces. Artists will be taught several techniques to improve their pours as well, including: Swiping, flip-cup, flower pour and the puddle pour. Create beautiful swirls of color on canvas in this experimental fluid painting class!
The workshop fee includes two 8" x 10" canvases. The paintings need to dry, participants will need to come back anytime during business hours (M-F, 8-4 pm) to retrieve their canvases.

This rotating workshop will guide you through the process of making your own mug or cup out of clay. Students will be provided with everything they need to create: clay, tools, glazes, and expert instruction. No ceramics experience required!
Included in the workshop fee are the glazing and firing of your creation. Finish in one class if you use the slip-painting method or come back to a later workshop if you want to glaze your piece. Within a few weeks of class, you will be enjoying your new handmade, functional artwork!
